I reccomend to build/upgrade the new buildings you get like wizzaard/archer towers, then build and upgrade the x-bow. the building you currently should have will protect you fine, the x-bow will only aid in the defense

yeah build all the buildings you get for th 9 and then get x bow while upgrading

I can't manage to save for an xbow, I dropped 1000 trophies for farming but still not enough gold. :(
