So I'm at TH9, both heroes are level 18, two dark elixier drills that are level 5. I'm hardcore enough to not let people take my resources (hence farming) but not hardcore enoughh that it takes over my day and my clan attacks every weekend, winning about 12 out of 15. I just feel that. I attack in normal play, in clan wars and upgrade my drills to gain dark elixier so spending the vast majority on a golem seems a bit of a waste.mHowever if it will seriously help me and my clan win clan wars then it will maybe be worth it.
I am town hall 8 and getting golems in a few hours. Is it a good idea to deploy the golem, and then a bunch of hog riders? I want to make my elixir raiding army even better.
If all the defenses are locked on the Golems, then the Hogs can basically backstab as the Defenses are busy killing the Golem; however, The Cannons will redirect towards the incoming Hogs, since the Cannons's A.I. shifts on the closest target.
I was thinking of using wall breakers to get the golem even deeper into the base, so it could distract as many defenses as possible.
The Hogs will pass the Golem, leaving the Golem doing nothing, making it a waste of your time, space, and DE.
GalacticRuler456 andThe wolfiest one: That's why you mainly drop at least 2 Golems in the line of fire of most defenses first before releasing any troops and why Wizards are dropped next as the supporting troop within the GoWi## strategies. If Wolfiest release Golems first to distract most defenses, then he can release his Hogs without worry of getting hit by them. Only thing he has to worry about when it comes to Hogs are of course the Giant Bombs and the Barbarian King and Archer Queen, who will chase them until all Hogs are dead. Also, Golems work very effectively on triggering Clan Castle Troops, who will attack the Golems nonstop while your support troops take them out.
What I am saying is that the Golem is too slow to keep up with the Hogs, and the Hogs will rip through the section where the Golem is and leave the Golem attacking a wall where there are no buildings.
i have seen a few people up here in masters do a golem hog strat...u fill cc with wbs, use 2 golems, and 20-25 hogs. then archers and heros clean up. it is simple.u drop a golem then ur cc of wbs. then ur other golem, this gets insdie the base. then cut lose with the hogs.
but back to the original question on here, yes golems are worth it..but only if you are hitting high level bases, like close to max TH9+ .....weaker TH9 arent worth using golems on, since hogs can do just as well if not better
I have to agree with you on that and has happened to me many times and why I don't use Hogs anymore. I mainly use the GoWiWi and GoWiPe since the Wizards and Pekkas always stay behind the Golems
