Don't ever rush
I don't care what people say, don't rush town halls. Try to max everything before moving to the next townhall. If not everything, at least max all defenses and all you elixir troops.
Reasons why not to rush:
-Loot Penalty: it will hit you really hard, trust me. If I hadn't rushed, I wouldn't have had to stay Town Hall lv9 for a full year.
-Respect: Rushed bases will recieve ZERO respect from other people
-Defenses: Maxed townhalls are a lot harder to steal loot from, and if it easy, usually the attacker will recieve a loot penalty for being multiple town halls ahead of you.
